Basic Contract and Design Fee Structure Options 2006

 
Residential: hourly contract option
 
•  $175.00 per hour for on-site design consultations, client meetings and contractor supervision.
•  $150.00 per hour for design and planning (office time)
•  $150.00 per hour for shopping with the client
•  $135.00 per hour for shopping for the client
•  15% mark up on all purchases plus tax and shipping
•  10% plus cost on all billable expenses:

Residential: cost plus percentage option
 
•  3 hour free initial consultation and portfolio presentation
•  Flat design fee based on $6.00 per square foot of space under consideration, plus
•  30% on net (wholesale) cost of purchases.
•  15% on all contractor fees for inspection and supervision of construction and contractors
•  Billable expenses: net plus 10% on direct project expenses:

Commercial and hospitality
 
  Flat design fee based on $8.00 per square foot plus 8% supervision fees (assumes no purchasing). Billable expenses net plus 10% on direct project expenses

Interior Design: $175.00 per hour, plus expenses or $700.00 per Diem plus expenses
Landscape Design: $125.00 per hour, plus expenses or $650.00 per Diem plus expenses
Lectures and Seminar Presentations: $500.00 per 1 ½ hour sessions, plus expenses

Product Design
 
  Flat fee for initial designs based on product, plus royalty percentage on all gross sales for a specified period of time. For household items the royalties are 3% of gross sales for five years. Flat fee minimum is $10,000.00 and increases with the size and range of product line.
